"Welcome back!", Debbie greeted Kev and I with a huge warm smile. "You know where your room is and everything is right where you left it!", chuckled Deb! Kev and I carried our large cardboard box back to the room, placed it on the table and immediately joined Deb for a cuppa. I cannot believe it! Almost in a blink of an eye, here we are once again…excited to continue our journey around Australia. It was great to catch up with Rob and Deb, and once again Kev and I felt very lucky to have met this wonderful couple.
Monday has arrived and Kev and I are eager to visit our bikes. I feel the fluttering excitement of butterflies in my stomach as Deb drives us the 15 minutes into town to Morgan's Motorcycles. Morgan has been more than accommodating by allowing me to park "Phe Phe" in his shop while Kev's bike has waited for BMW parts from the UK to complete the repairs needed. A few tweaks a "smoko", couple of licks from Jessy and "Bob's ya Uncle!"…She starts right up. Now Stacey is not quite as sleek as she once was, but she is ALIVE, and looking quite rogue, almost "bat like"! Wholly Cow!
Kev settles up with Morgans Motorcycles…. we saddle up, shift into first, ease the clutch out and take off remembering to enter the road on the left!….WOO HOO, feels BLOODY GREAT!
Once back at Debbies Kev and I attack the packing of the bikes. It seems as if we have accumulated a little more, damn! Slowly, even though this part was a tad frustrating, we manage to squeeze it all in. Deb offers us her car and we head to the post office to ship a box back to Melbourne with the left over bike parts…now everything is sorted!
It is time to leave….
